“ ..... And then they were there”
There used to be
a cartoon series on CBBC’s called Blue Cow. Blue cow used to wonder.
After she wondered, she got a ticket, got on a red double decker bus which then travelled very fast on a spiralling road until the narrator announced … “and then they were there” at which point she got out and had an adventure. The last few months have felt like some of Blue Cow’s adventures culminating with …. “and then she was there!”
And here I am …… in
Bydgoszcz Poland (pronounced byde –
gosht)
Although it has
been has been 18 months in the planning and preparation, arriving here has felt
like a whirlwind. Leaving secondary school teaching in July, COM for a week, taking
a CELTA course in August, with a lovely relaxing week in Greece with
Ella in September has meant I’m here in Bydgoszcz ready to start teaching
tomorrow.
Here are a few snaps
from a walk around on Sunday:
‘Man crossing the
river’ Sculpture to celebrate Poland Joining the European Union ( clearly having
the common sense to recognize a good thing!!!)
